GETTING THERE
Typically, one would fly to Muscat which is the capital as well as the main international airport in Oman. With flights from, both, Delhi and Mumbai to Muscat being under 3 hours, it is definitely one of the easier trips to make.
VISAS FOR INDIANS
Visas for Oman can be procured in 10-12 working days through an online application. Upon submission of required documents and photographs, you can easily get a 30 day tourist visa for Oman.
More information is available on the Royal Oman Police website.
WEATHER-WISE
Oman has different weather patterns depending on whether you are in the northern part or southern.
Keep in mind that much like in India, summers in Oman can be scorching hot during the day time; therefore it is better suited to winter weddings in November and December.

BEACHES OF SALALAH
When you hear the word Oman, what do you imagine? Endless deserts, barren land or concrete cities? Well Salalah will completely throw you off!
Salalah, the capital of the Dhofar region, is a colourful, subtropical city, an oasis of misty pastures. Year round, Salalah’s coconut-fringed beaches and plantations of bananas and papayas offer a flavour of Zanzibar in the heart of the Arabian Desert.
From plush resorts to beach weddings, Salalah has many fabulous venues to pick from. Of course you might have to convince your friends that you did actually get married in a tropical desert!
DESERTS OF SHARQIYAH
The deserts in Oman are an extension of the Bedouin lifestyle with its ancient associations of traditional culture and authentic original customs.
The Omani desert is characterised by the diversity of its plants and animals. Of these, A'Sharqiyah Sands are considered among the most beautiful camping areas in the Sultanate and extend over an area of up to about 10 thousand square kilometres.
Picturesque shades of sand merging from reds to brown create a magical setting for your oasis wedding.
MOUNTAINS OF AL HAJAR
Jabal Akhdar, meaning “The Green Mountain” in Arabic, is part of the Al Hajar mountain range, one of Oman’s most spectacular areas.
Set 2000 metres above sea level, located in the central section of the Al Hajar Mountains, about 150 km from Muscat.
Create the perfect ambience with open-air gatherings, with beautifully manicured gardens providing a dramatic setting, framed by Al Hajar Mountains and overlooking the Sea of Oman.
